Education Aboard Video
Over the summer, I worked along with VIU's Education Aboard department to create a series of videos. These videos aimed to simplify the process of applying for an exchange program while showcasing the transformative experience of studying abroad. By providing clear and concise information, along with captivating visuals and personal testimonials, the videos inspired prospective students to pursue international education. I ensured that the videos aligned with the university's branding and messaging, ultimately encouraging students to seize the life-changing opportunities of studying abroad.
What I use: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect
To begin, I crafted concise and engaging scripts for 2 three-minute videos for the Exchange Program application process "How to apply to the Exchange Program" and "Transfer Credit: Pre-application to the Exchange Program". The goal was to create an easy-to-understand, step-by-step tutorial. I focused on clarity and simplicity, ensuring that viewers could follow along effortlessly. Overall, the aim was to produce an informative resource that guided viewers through the process effectively.
Alongside the script, I developed multiple storyboards to present my ideas to my supervisors. Incorporating text animation and icons, the storyboard aimed to create an enjoyable viewing experience. The video followed a step-by-step format, outlining the process of applying for an Exchange Program. The goal was to create a visually engaging video that guided viewers through each step of the application process. To ensure clarity, I opted for minimal text, presenting the information in a checklist-style format.

Social Media Videos
In addition to creating comprehensive informational videos, I also crafted a series of short videos specifically designed for VIU's social media platforms, such as TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. These videos served as engaging advertisements for their Exchange Partnering School. To maintain consistency and reinforce the brand identity, I strived to replicate the same energetic vibe, flow, language, and information found in the longer videos. By adopting a cohesive approach, the short videos seamlessly aligned with the overarching campaign, ensuring a unified experience for viewers across various social media platforms.
